Last month, actress-entrepreneur Neetu Chandra visited UN Women, the United Nations organization (based in New York) to discuss gender equality through their initiative ‘Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up For Gender Equality’.

Through their initiative, Red Elephant, an initiative built on the foundations of story-telling, civilian peace building and activism for gender equality, they have come up with #MoreThanMyBody glorifying achievements by women across different strata of society.

Considering Neetu’s envious list of achievements they built a photo essay of powerful women leaders who can be strong role models for girls and young women by refuting the objectification that society thrusts upon them. And so they invited entries from prominent women across the globe comprising a photo of them designed into a photo essay, comprising a 25-word bio of them on the photograph, with the hashtag #MoreThanMyBody.

Her bio reads, “Neetu Chandra is a versatile actor, successful entrepreneur, theatre artist, martial artist, a black belt in Taekwondo, known for her philanthropic work, promotes NBA basketball in India, a writer believes in humanity equalities of opportunities and hard work.”

Neetu is the first female producer in Bollywood whose debut film won a National award. Mithila Makhaan, produced by her production house, Champaran Talkies, won Best Maithili Film in the language section.
