Mumbai: Starting the new-year on a high note, Drishyam Films has launched a state of the art post-production studio, Drishyam VFX.

The VFX Studio is up and running in full swing, and their first venture is UTV Motion Pictures’ much-awaited next, Fitoor, the trailer of which released last week among a lot of buzz. The studio has provided end-to-end VFX services for the film.

Abhishek Kapoor, the director of Fitoor and cult films like Kai Po Che and Rock On!!, says that he is “very excited to work with Drishyam VFX for Fitoor. The visual effects provided by the Drishyam team match the best in international post production studios, which the audiences will see for themselves once the film releases.”

Drishyam VFX has been set up with a vision to establish a globally recognized post-production studio with VFX as its key highlight. Having recruited the best of technical and creative skill from the industry, Drishyam VFX has already locked deals of several highly-anticipated tent-pole Bollywood films. The new vertical will be headed by Rajeev Kumar who will be reporting to Shiladitya Bora, the CEO of Drishyam Films.

In due course of time, Drishyam VFX will offer every service related to VFX and Animation and they plan to broaden their strengths in designing motion graphics, title sequences and concept arts.

Special particle effects (dynamics) are their forte, such as fire, water, smoke, fog, snow, explosions, blood, dust and debris simulations. From offering services such as prep work (chroma keying) to VFX compositing, cosmetic fixes, 2D to 3D conversion, 3D real estate walkthroughs and 3D CGI services, Drishyam VFX plans to be a one-stop-shop for the Indian film industry’s VFX and animation needs.

Manish Mundra, founder of Drishyam Films, is confident about the studio’s future. “As the visual canvas and scope of cinema becomes larger-than-life, VFX has come to be an integral part of filmmaking. It is ultimately a tool of storytelling, and at Drishyam VFX, we plan to herald the technology of the future to tell the most incredible stories,” he says.
