Actress and former Miss Asia Pacific 2000 title holder Dia Mirza attended The Runway Project on Monday In Mumbai. During media interaction, Dia hoped that Manushi Chhillar goes on to make bigger impact on society and do wonderful things in world.

Manushi Chhillar became the sixth Indian to win the coveted crown of Miss World, which was first won by Reita Faria back in 1966, talking about her achievement, former Miss Asia Pacific 2000 title holder Dia said, “It’s a great news. I felt totally happy when I heard that news. Manushi has won Miss India title for India after 17 years. I was happy because she reflected so much of grace and humility. I really hope she goes on to make bigger impact on society and I hope she uses this win to do wonderful things in the world”

Talking about fashion designer Hemant Trivedi and The Runway Project, Dia said, “I am very happy to be here. Hemant Trivedi not only has been guru of fashion industry but he also has been mentor for us when we participated in Miss India Contest, because of his encouragement, belief and training, me, Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra witnessed huge change in our life while we were competing for international pageants so we owe our success and opportunities to him”

Taking about upcoming marathon for specially- abled individuals, Dia said, “I like to wish them all the best. I think they are called specially abled for a reason. It’s important that people understand that people who are born with physical disabilities must be enabled by society to achieve and fulfill all their dreams so we need to make our self an accessible society to all kinds of people”

Dia Mirza next will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s film based on Sanjay Dutt’s life starring Ranbir Kapoor in which Dia is playing character of Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata Dutt.
