Dum laga k Haisha director Sharat Katariya and producer Maneesh Sharma have geared up for their new venture Sui Dhaaga, after grabbing a national award for their last movie starring Bhumi Pednekar, Ayushmann Khurrana. Now the duo is set to bring Anushka Sharma, Varun Dhawan for their second film.
Speaking about the film Anushka Sharma said , “I always get excited with unique ideas that have human interest stories. SUI DHAAGA is a story of self-reliance that I believe will connect to the grassroot level with every Indian. And I am really looking forward to working with Varun Dhawan and the team of Sharat Katariya and Maneesh Sharma.”
Varun also said, “From Gandhiji to Modiji, our leaders have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. With SUI DHAAGA, I am proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a way that is entertaining and relevant. I really liked the script that Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this one. Anushka and I are pairing up for the first time so I am sure there will be fireworks.”
Both The actors shared the happy news on twitter with unique gestures. Anushka started it with a riddle to which Varun replied.

Speaking about the movie storyline: Maneesh said “After the love and appreciation Dum Laga Ke Haishaa garnered from the audience, it is very exciting to team up once again with Sharat to tell a heartwarming story of pride and self-reliance. Sui dhaaga will be another movie after Toilet EK Prem Katha based on Social Issues . It’s good to see that our Bollywood industry has started taking social issues seriously and working on building progress for the nation after all these actors and actress are idol’s for many of them out there .
Shooting for the project will start in January 2018 and will hit theaters on Gandhi Jayanti next year.
