Mumbai: Actress Asin got married to Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma on January 19 in a Christian wedding ceremony ,followed by Hindu rituals in Delhi. The gorgeous bride stunned in a Sabyasachi lehenga for the Hindu wedding and tied the knot in a private ceremony attended by family and close friends. Best man Akshay Kumar took time out from his busy schedule to be part of the grand celebrations in Delhi.
It was on their reception on Saturday night (January 23) at the Four Seasons hotel (Mumbai) that the who’s who of B-town showed up to congratulate the couple . At the reception, Asin wore a simple yet elegant, embellished lehenga choli, designed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. Rahul sported a black Sherwani with a customized ‘AR’ button (Asin-Rahul) and white churidaar by Raghuvendra Rathore.
The guest list included Rishi Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Krishika Lulla, Preity Zinta, Akshay Kumar with wife Twinkle Khanna, Raj Kundra with wife Shilpa Shetty, R Madhavan with wife Sarita, Tabu, Sajid Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Manish Paul, Pernia Qureshi, Dino Morea, Sanjay Kapoor, Shehla Khan, Sushmita Sen, Chetan Bhagat, Juhi Chawla and Prabhudeva among others.
The reception was a fun filled occasion, where guests enjoyed the food and ambience that the couple carefully selected. The newlyweds were later dragged to the dance floor as the celebration continued well till the wee hours of the morning.
