Nawazuddin Siddiqui turns Directors’ favourite!

Effortlessly fleshing out characters, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has played an onscreen gangster, police officer, homeless person, news reporter, serial killer, labourer and most recently a private detective in MOM. The versatile actor outdoes himself with every role he essays, making him directors’ favourite in the Bollywood industry today.

The talented actor’s recent movies prove his acting prowess and successful experiments with his various looks. Whether it is a lungi-clad sharp shooter in Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, a ruffian and wannabe dancer in Munna Michael, a partially bald detective in MOM or a writer in Manto, the 43-year-old nails the portrayal of each character he dons.

A source says, “Nawazuddin has always taken the road less travelled and created a category of his own. He pays special attention to everything right from the minutest detail of his look to how his performance translates on the monitor. He is constantly assessing himself as an actor. With directors approaching him with roles written keeping him in mind, the industry has finally given him his due.”
