New web series announced on Abdul Karim Telgi’s life titled ‘Scam 2003’

Director Hansal Mehta announced another spin-off titled ‘Scam 2003: The Curious Case of Abdul Karim Telgi’.

After the nationwide success of the 2020 web series ‘Scam 1992’, director Hansal Mehta is all set to extend the franchise. He has announced another spin-off titled ‘Scam 2003: The Curious Case of Abdul Karim Telgi’. The show will depict the rise and fall of the convicted Indian counterfeiter who robbed the public by selling fake stamp papers.

Hansal Mehta himself confirmed the news via his Twitter handle with an image that contained the details about the upcoming show. His tweet said, “Grateful for the very loving response to this announcement. This is a challenging tale to tell. And even more so because it is Season 2 of such a successful show. We will work doubly hard to reciprocate this love and to make this season very exciting, authentic and engaging.”

The post also mentioned that the show will be adapted from a book by noted news reporter cum journalist Sanjay Singh titled ‘Reporter Ki Diary’. Hansal Mehta will be directing the series which is being adapted for screens by Sanjay Singh and Kiran Yadnyopavit.
