Mira Nair’s critically acclaimed show ‘A Suitable Boy’ to stream on Netflix soon

One of the leads, Ishaan Khatter has announced that streaming giant, Netflix will be airing the 6 episode long series from 23rd October.

Mira Nair’s adaptation of Vikram Seth’s epic novel ‘A Suitable Boy’ starring Ishaan Khatter, debutant Tanya Maniktala and Tabu released in the United Kingdom this year through BBC. The series opened to good reviews and people really appreciated the stellar performances the show contained.

One of the leads, Ishaan Khatter has announced that streaming giant, Netflix will be airing the 6 episode long series from 23rd October. Earlier in July, it was already confirmed that the streaming service will air the show but the final date was revealed today. The show which has originally been shot in English will also be available in Hindi for the Indian users. Ishaan wrote on the post, “Alright guys.. here it is. ‘A Suitable Boy’ centres around 4 large Indian families belonging to the post-partition India. It mostly focuses on a woman named Rupa Mehra and her desire and efforts to get her daughter Lata married to ‘A Suitable Boy’. The series also became the very first show to premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival 2020 (TIFF).
