Bobby Deol is all set to make his digital debut on OTT platforms. The trailer for his upcoming web-series, ‘Aashram’ was recently released and it looks highly intense and gripping. The show is being directed by Prakash Jha (known for Rajneeti, Aarakshan) and centres around a cult led by a spiritual leader called Baba Nirala from the city of Kashipur. Bobby Deol is playing the role of this self-proclaimed godman.
The trailer starts out light and smooth where people are seen to be hailing their spiritual leader, Baba Nirala and appreciating him for all he has done for the community. The second half takes an unexpected turn when watchers are exposed to the dark side of Baba Nirala’s cult and evil practices.
Is the self-proclaimed Messiah being framed or is there really a dark side to him? One will have to wait for the series to start streaming to find out the answers. Meanwhile, watch the trailer down below.
Apart from Bobby Deol, ‘Aasram’ will showcase a star cast of Aaditi Pohankar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Darshan Kumaar, Anupria Goenka, Adhyayan Summan, Tridha Choudhury, Vikram Kochhar, Tushar Pandey, Sachin Shroff, Anuritta Jha, Rajeev Siddhartha, Parinitaa Seth, Tanmaay Ranjan, Preeti Sood, Jahangir Khan, Kanupriya Gupta and Navdeep Tomar.
The show is scheduled to start streaming on MX player from 28 August 2020.
