Abhay Deol’s JL50 is a story of a plane recovered after 35 years!

The show will also feature stellar actor Pankaj Kapur in the lead as well.

Abhay Deol is all set to venture into the digital space as well as he stars in the new web series titled ‘JL50’. The series has been inspired by a real-life incident regarding an aircraft which was missing for more than 30 years and got discovered after it crashed in a certain region within the nation.

The show will also feature stellar actor Pankaj Kapur in the lead as well. The teaser was also released for the series. When it starts, you can see that a bunch of kids who have been playing casually are surprised after looking at an aeroplane flying over their heads. It eventually crases near Lava, West Bengal.

Abhay Deol will be seen in the series as an investigating officer who was seen questioning Pankaj Kapur regarding the missing aircraft that recently crashed. Nothing much was revealed in the teaser apart from that.

The show has been inspired by an actual transport aircraft known as AN-12 which is known to have disappeared in the year 1968 and got discovered in 2003 i.e. 35 years later.

The show will also feature a star cast of Piyush Mishra, Rajesh Sharma and Ritika Anand in important roles. ‘JL50’ has been directed by Shailender Vyas and will premier on Sony LIV from 4 September.
