Surbhi Jyoti won the hearts of many with her debut performance in hit TV series, Qubool Hai in 2012, where she played the role of a Muslim girl. After being aired for 4 years (which saw the serials taking various transformations and leaps), came to an end in early 2016. But, the girl with the bubbly smile have been missing from the TV circuit ever since the show went off air. But here’s a good news for all her fans out there. Very soon Surbhi will be seen donning a new avatar, but in a different format.
No, she is not heading towards Bollywood, but is sure to appear in a web series, opposite ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Ky Naam Du’ fame actor Barun Sobti. Surbhi who hails from Jalandhar, Punjab confirmed the update but maintained that the things are on the initial stage only, she said, “Yes, I am doing a web-series with Barun but nothing is finalised yet. We have shot a photo-shoot for the same, but things are not yet confirmed”
The web series is said to be produced by Qubool Hai producer, Gul Khan and will be a thriller. Surbhi’s role is not yet disclosed.
Surbhi has also played the role of an anchor in Zing’s popular youth show ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya’ for three consecutive seasons. She has also appeared on comedy series, Comedy Nights Bachao and Comedy Nights Live, playing various characters.
In fact, before entering Television, the actor was a part of few Punjabi serials and Punjabi films, and want to venture in Bollywood later with a right script.
