As the world has slowly begun to adapt to the ‘new normal’ after the coronavirus pandemic created havoc all around the world, people in the television industry are at full throttle to resume the shooting process for their respective shows. The shoots will be carried out keeping in mind the strict safety and hygiene protocols as directed by the government and other medical officials.
Here are some shows which have begun shooting cautiously amidst the pandemic:
1. Kasautii Zindagii Kay
One of the most popular shows on Star Plus, Kasautii Zindagii Kay had earlier begun shooting until the lead actor of the show, Parth Samthaan was found to be COVID-19 positive. Hence, the shooting had to be stopped as the actor had to self-quarantine for recovering. This was followed by all of the cast members and the team of the show undergoing testing for the virus and going into isolation.
However, the shoot will resume from July 17, i.e. today, after being on hold for 3 days. All the stars apart from Parth Samthaan will begin shooting for their scenes. The need for a constant flow of new episodes is necessary. As far as the story of the show goes, the writers have tweaked it a bit and made Anurag (played by Samthaan) head out of the city for work.
2. The Kapil Sharma Show
This family entertainer reality show is all set to resume shoot in the month of July as well. Due to the pandemic, there will be no audience involved hence, the makers have been thinking of ways to have the same kind of energetic vibe the show previously had.
As per the rumour mills, Sonu Sood will probably be one of the first guests within the show, due to all his noble deeds during these dark times. He provided a mode of transport for the migrant labourers to reach their respective villages and cities when the nationwide lockdown was announced.
3. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
Popular comedy serial, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ also resumed shoot in the month of July. The social media handle of the show also shared the news with their avid fans that the new episodes of the show will begin airing on the channel from 22 July.
Dilip Joshi, who plays Jethalal in the show took to his official account to assure the fans that safety measures are being carried out properly amidst the shooting process and even told the fans to get ready for a “fresh dose” of the show.
