Ganesh Chaturthi is an important festival for hindu and keeping this in mind BollywoodDhamaka reached television actors and see what they says about this beautiful festival.

ARJUN BIJLANI: I actually every year wish him to just keep us watching and I don’t think I need to ask something from him as he has been very kind as I have got such a beautiful son. Then too I just pray for everybody’s health and for the social cause, for the peace in the country where there is so much mass killing happening so I will pray that stops as soon as possible because every day we hear so many news about mass killing so I just hope that it stops

MOHIT MALIK: Ganpati festival is very exciting for me. Guests coming over and the atmospher gives very stress free feeling. I really enjoy when ganpati is around as it gives happiness. I wish to win ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ this year and also wish to get a good film. Every ganpati is memorable for me as Mom-Dad comes from delhi and thats the only time when they come for the longest period so for me that is the best memory and it happens every year.

NAMAN SHAW: Every person who comes to Mumbai comes with dreams. Mine was to become an actor which, with Bappa’s blessings It came true. I want Bappa to bless me with a home here because the way this city has accepted me, I can’t see myself go anywhere else. And that one opportunity to do one kickass character that stays with audiences for years ahead. The show that gives me the chance to challenge my comfort zone and surprise myself and my viewers will be great.

ANIRUDDH DAVE: I am an atheist. But I like how people enjoy this festival. I salute to their belief. I love their ‘Nashik dhol’ rhythm on which devotees dance. As I have a sweet tooth so I love to eat Modaks too. I feel this festival is an excuse also so that people get to meet and greet. I like the dedication and devotion of this festival. I am against to it as it multiplies water pollution and noise pollution too.

AKHLAQUE KHAN: Ganpati festival means Mumbai to me. I always used to see it on TV when I didn’t stay here. It used to look so fascinating. When I started staying here I realised what lovely spirit it gets into the people here. It’s a week of fun and fair and I enjoy this festival too.

JAY SONI: Ganpati ji has always been lucky for me and I believe in him a lot. I have full faith in him and he makes me strong enough to tackle tough situations in my life. I think wishes should not be told so I won’t reveal it but I wish happiness and joy for my family and everything that happens in future should only be for the good.

ANKIT GERA: Every year whenever he comes, he comes with great significance in my life. My career and ersonal graph always goes up only whenever he comes. So he comes with great prosperity, great success and his blessings too in my life. Wishes can’t be told (laughs). I can’t say my wishes so I just wish that he keeps coming every year like this only.

HIMANSHOO MALHOTRA: Every year I follow Ganpati festival. Dancing in my building and streets while Visarjan is very enlightening and fascinating. This occasion is where everyone comes to meet you at your place and you get to know about each other’s life. It’s a beautiful and religious celebration and I enjoy worshipping ganpati.

HIMANSHU SONI: Ganpati festival has always been the best festival for many of us and me too have celebrated it by visiting friends place who kept ganpati at their home by helping them in decoration and setup and even aartis. Those meets and the week of mithai’s are good times. Visarjan is also where I enjoy. The craze and excitement people have for this festival would never be seen for any other festival. The belief people have in ganpati is true and pure. He listens and fulfils everyone’s wishes and this year I too wish for a good health and wealth for my family and everyone to be happy. As kids we use to enjoy a lot during Visarjan. We even used to cry sometime because these days create a very strong bond between ganpati and us that we don’t wish to leave him or as in immerse him. But those were memories of joy and happiness with pure feelings.

MRUNAL JAIN: This festival is important to me as I am a follower of Ganesha. I believe in Ganesha as he is the god of wisdom and power. Worshipping him and during the aartis we get a strong and positive vibrations which are felt by many of them. It’s a festival of joy and happiness where we get to visit, greet and meet our closed ones, friends etc which is the best part after having modaks (laughs). Though I don’t get the deity at my house to worship but I do visit at my friends place to worship. I don’t have as such many wishes as he has always been very kind to me but if to say then I will always wish for the well being of me and my family. Visiting friends pace for seeking blessings from ganeshji or going to visit mandaps and other places where ganeshji has been kept during childhood with my family are some memorable moments for me.
