It is not unusual for TV actors to have back up options when it comes to career. Today, we have actors who own restaurants, cafes, showrooms, cricket teams and what not. The latest one to explore a new avenue is actor Wasim Mushtaq. The actor is presently seen as Sujeev Sinha on Star Plus’ Mere Angne Mein. He was earlier working in Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls. Wasim has started an online boutique for women specializing in ethnic wear. Fashion has always been a passion for the actor, who is known for his dressing sense on and off screen. He has spent considerable time on his venture visiting workshops across the country to source out beautiful outfits with exquisite craftsmanship. A style conscious person, he aims to make ethnic fashion affordable for all.

Wasim has been working since a long time in the industry and has done shows like 12/24 Karol Bagh, Bhagyavidhaata, Amrit Manthan and Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. He has been mostly well turned out on screen because of the personal interest he takes in his wardrobe.

When we ping him he adds, “It was my wife’s idea as she wanted to start her own company. And I always wanted to have a side business so that’s how we started and today she’s handling it all and it’s growing day by day mashallah”

Wasim joins a long list of actors like Arjun Punj, Mazhar Sayyed, Raqesh Vashishtha, Rakshanda Khan, Aroona Iraani, Kunicka Sadanand Lall, Shama Sikander and Shweta Tiwari who have businesses. With competition getting intense in the TV industry and long schedules taking a toll on health, an alternative source of income makes a lot of difference to an actor’s sense of security.
