Mumbai: The hot and young Kavita Gahi who essays Piyali in the show produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary “Manmarziyaan” is on seventh heaven.
Explaining the reason behind such happiness. Kavita says,”My elder daughter Orvana had auditioned for the role before the show was started. But she was rejected by the production house and after that we completely closed that chapter. After a year something happened to the other actress and my daughter being the second choice, was called overnight. She took the first flight from Delhi. The whole night I couldn’t sleep out of excitement. It still feels unreal to me.”
Kavita aka Piyali’s elder daughter in the show is getting engaged. Therefore, Piyali’s younger daughter, Manya Khanna is called from Australia. Kasmira Irani is playing the elder daughter Samira Khanna.
“We haven’t shared screen space yet”, shares Kavita “It was her first day and I was hiding behind the curtain, I didn’t want her to be nervous. We are not from theater and acting background but she used to participate in school activities. Here too, I was behaving like her mother, taking care of her clothes, make-up, hairdo and screaming to make her eat sandwiches. It was like going back to school days.”
Kavita may be overwhelmed by the emotions apparently, her daughter was quite relaxed and calm. No doubt grateful for her mother’s presence.
People hear stories of miracle from others but this mother-daughter duo is actually living the miracle. Every mother now will want to step in Kavita’s shoe. What else can you ask from God?
