One of the most awaited film from the Tamil film industry ‘Soorarai Pottru’ starring superstar Suriya is headed straight for an OTT release. The film was initially scheduled for a theatrical release and was suppose to come out on 9th April 2020. However, it got postponed amidst the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown initiation.
Suriya announced the OTT release of his film through Twitter while also wishing everyone a happy Vinayagar Chathurthi.

As per the announcement, the film will be available on the streaming service from 30 October 2020.

Soorarai Pottru is based on the life of Air Deccan founder G.R. Gopinath and has been directed by Sudha Kongara. Other than Suriya, actors like Aparna Balamurali, Mohan Babu, Paresh Rawal, Urvashi, Karunas, Vivek Prasanna and so on will also be a part of this upcoming project.
The film has been produced under the banner of 2d Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment.
