With her production house, KriArj Entertainment, Prernaa Arora took the Indian film industry by storm, bringing to celluloid content-driven cinema and subjects that no novice producer might dare. In less than three years, the power producer has won a number of awards including the Stardust – Power Producer of the Year, Masala – Dynamic Producer Award, Zee Cine Awards – Extra Ordinary Impact Film, Viewers Choice Best Film and Lions Favourite/Best Film Producer for Toilet – Ek Prem Katha. Earning yet another title, Prernaa was awarded as The Extraordinaire: Powerful Women Achiever at the Brand Vision Summit, organized by NexBrands.
This distinction has come to the filmmaker at a time when she has some of the most highly anticipated Hindi films in the pipeline such as Kedarnath (starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan), Fanne Khan (starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao), Padman (starring Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor), Pari (Anushka Sharma), Parmanu (starring John Abraham and Diana Penty) and an untitled film starring Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.
Clearly, in her endeavour to consolidate provoking themes, social message and entertainment, Prernaa shows much promise this year with big budget films with some of the finest stars and filmmakers
