Mumbai: Another feather has been added to the cap of Colors channel with the IIFA awards becoming a grand success, gaining high ratings of 3.3. The prestigious award night was held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 7 June, and aired on 5 July on Colors.
And with the impressive numbers it is quite evident that if the content is gripping enough, a show can be a massive hit even without Bollywood biggies.
Hosted by Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, the event had some marvelous performances by Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha, Sahid Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and many more young faces of Bollywood.
When we spoke to Sabbas Joseph of Wizcraft, the ace business personality commented, “We are very happy with the success of the event and I believe the ratings are the testimony of the successful partnership between the broadcasters (Colors) and us. Everyone, including Shahid, Arjun, Ranveer, Hrithik worked very hard along with our team to make the event an extraordinary one. Ranveer and Arjun deserve a special mention as the youth factor surely gave a fresh appeal to the content.”
