Talking about IFFI, she said, “I am very overwhelmed being at IFFI, which is a wonderful platform. This is the first time I sat with the audience and watched my movie live. I was literally crying during the screening.”

While filming Rafaela, she could watch from close angles the misery of people who had to live in the margins of society: people picking garbage from the dumpsters for re-selling and thus to feed their family.

Dhamaka which is a 1 hour and 44 minute long thriller was shot in a room using 360 degree technique. The movie is directed by Ram Madhvani.

Noting that very less number of films are made for children, Joshi urged the young filmmakers to make more movies for children’s entertainment.

Speaking about the novel initiative, the Minister said: “For the first time ever, we are recognizing and mentoring promising 75 young minds, as we celebrate 75 years of India’s independence. They have been chosen by the grand jury and selection jury after a meticulous selection process.”
