PEEK-A-BOO Club, Circus, Nursery land 2014

Mumbai: Colour, light, music and magic- clowns, acrobats, trained animals, trapeze acts, musicians, hoopers, tightrope walkers, jugglers, unicyclists marked the 14th Year Peek A Boo Bonanza with Concert with the theme, ‘A Circus of Nursery world’ at Rabindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi.

The little children of Peek-A-Boo had a great time with educationist Darshini Shah, wunderkid 5 yr. old singer Diva Roy of Shaadi Ke Side Effects along with celeb guests Sufi singer Mudasir Ali, actress Bhairavi Goswami, eminent photographer Vikram Bawa, singer Abhishek Kumar, anchor-standup comedian Umesh Pherwani and many others. Rohinish Lalwani, Sangini Lalwani and Deepali Shah were also present at the event.

A stunning extravaganza with a message to the world on respecting every profession whether big or small was passed on through a wonderful skit where a girl who is good for nothing turns into a known magician, joined by the Deaf and Mute performers from Lokmanya Tilak Institute in dances. One witnessed the ring master where he introduced a varied selection of acts from nursery land with the animals, birds, flowers, vegetables, festivals, colours, shapes, alphabets on traditional music performed by lill cubs. Each professionally choreographed aimed to bring out the best in the kids, took you on a journey with the toddlers….

Rohinish Lalwani, Sangini Lalwani, Deepali Shah and Darshini Shah emphasize, “The stress of daily life has increased so much that it is time to let your hair down and have fun. Circus exudes a sense of camaraderie amongst people and the walls around us vanish in the moments of music and dance. It is a coming-together of people.”

Deepali Shah excitedly states, “Our circus included a company of performers from clowns, acrobats, trained animals, trapeze acts, musicians, hoopers, tightrope walkers, jugglers, unicyclists and other object manipulation and stunt-oriented artists in the form of our toddlers.”

The term ‘circus’ also describes the performance which has followed various formats through its 150 year modern history with large scale theatrical battle re-enactments becoming a significant feature in “Big top Tents”.

Sangini Lalwani adds, “Our philosophy is to cultivate skills and impart knowledge to children in a fun and interesting manner. Our club as well as all our workshops are handled by professional and trained teachers and special educators who are dedicated and committed towards early childhood development of children.”

Darshini exults, “There was a memorable performance by the gifted children from Lokmanya Tilak Institute for Deaf and Mute. They were looking at encouraging and showering a unique sense of values, art amongst our little stars to take their lives in their stride, and become winners in every aspect. The finale left and indelible mark on everyone present with “Jeena Yahaan Marna yahaan” performed by well known magician Bhushan who has trained Mr Salman Khan for Dabang.

The show displayed through music and movement. There were Choreographed dances, acts play as well as special entertaining programs for children handled by professional event managers. There was a huge spectrum of individuals from principals, parents, well wishers and many children.

Under their pre-school activity club we conduct various activities like moms and Cubs Club ( 1 To 2 Yrs ), Play group ( 2 To 3 Yrs), and Nursery ( 3 To 4 Yrs ), Day Care centre & under our creative arts club we undertake various specialized workshops like Phonics, Grammar, Arts & Crafts, Elocution & Drama, Rhythm your toes ( Dance ), Multiple intelligence program, Lil Leaders and music for children of age group ( 1 To 14Yrs).

The very name set fire to the senses and send the blood into the super fast bullet train zone. Colour, light, music and magic, those were the ingredients of Peek-A-Boo’s circus carnival!
