Mumbai: “What I really want to do is direct.” Once upon a time, that was a line used to mock the unbridled chutzpah of actors who wanted to helm films of their own, but now, no one’s really laughing at the notion that the pretty people in front of the camera might also possess the talent to handle the responsibilities behind the camera as well. After years of on-screen success, many talented actors decide to take their chances on the other side of the camera.
Actors’ graduating to the level of Directors is nothing new in industry. The latest to join the trend is Zindagi 50-50 fame Actor Rajan Verma with his Advertising directorial venture with RADO Switzerland Watches. Rajan Verma who had tried his hand acting is turning to direction — and with good reason. Rado is a Swiss luxury manufacturer of watches, with headquarters in Lengnau, Switzerland. Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan ia an Rado brand ambassador.
Rajan Verma said, “Being creative is my passion and I am doing it right now. An advertising director’s main responsibility is to supervise advertising campaigns for advertising agencies and I really enjoying it. Working behind the camera is really a tough job. I am grateful to associate with an international company Rado. It’s wonderful to work with them. ”
