Singer-composer Kanika Kapoor’s association with Milan Fashion Week goes back a long way. Before carving her niche as a singer-composer, Kanika attended the coveted fashion week and walked the ramp for designer Alberta Ferreti.

The gorgeous singer, who shot to fame with the chartbuster Baby Doll (Ragini MMS 2) followed by Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan (Roy), Desi Look (Ek Paheli Leela) and Kamlee (Happy New Year) was honoured to attend this year’s Milan Fashion Week (February 24 to March 1, 2016).

Kanika says, “It was in Milan when I first walked the runway as a muse for designer Alberta Ferreti (Demi Couture). It’s not often that Bollywood and European fashion cross paths so closely. So apart from the fact that it was an honour to represent her collection on such a revered fashion platform it meant much more personally.”

“For a global name as Ferreti to choose an Indian girl who loved singing only made me find confidence in the most unexpected of places. Milan Fashion Week! It holds a special place in my heart and always will,” Kanika adds.

On interacting with interesting people at MFW, she says, “I had the opportunity to interact with world renowned influential people including Anna Della Russo (Editor and Creative consultant Vogue, Japan), Federico Marchetti (Italian footballer) and Chiara Ferragni(Italian blogger and fashion designer). I will always cherish memories meeting them.”

Besides attending shows, Kanika also indulged in shopping and picked up her favourite local Italian designers like Elisabetta Franchi, Patrizia Pepe and Atos Lombardini.
