Masaba Gupta made her foray in the fashion industry with the GenNext fashion show at Lakme Fashion Week 2009, where she was awarded the most promising designer award and ever since there has been no looking back.

The young designer showcased her winter/festive collection “On Your Mark” at the Lakme India Fashion Week 2015, that entailed prints inspired by brush strokes of magnificent art inspired pieces. Escalating playfulness, the flowy, clean patterns enunciate a horse’s prowess, gait and dynamism.

Fashion aficionados were in for a surprise when Gen-X star Sooraj Pancholi turned show stopper for Masaba Gupta at her show. Sporting a special men’s look that Masaba designed, Sooraj made his debut on the Lakme Fashion Week ramp.

On the occasion said Sooraj Pancholi, “I am very excited to have walked the ramp for the first time at the Lakme fashion week and that too for my friend Masaba .She did a special men’s look for me and I’m very happy to have been part of the show”.

Masaba also launched her signature line of bags at the show, which met with an overwhelming response.

Talking about the handbag collection says Masaba, “The handbag collection is a first from House Of Masaba created by a Kolkata based manufacturing house. The leather and printed poplin bags will make their debut on the LFW Winter/Festive Runway. In palettes of brown and black leather infused with prints, the collection offers basic styles of bags for women including back packs, sling bags and shoppers. The collection will be available at all house of masaba stores across Mumbai and Delhi”.

The show was a star studded one with Shahid Kapoor & Mira Kapoor,Ekta Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap,Vikramaditya Motwane, Diya Mirza, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rahul Bose, Aditi Rao Hydari, Bhumi Pednekar,Wardha Nadiadwala, Mandana Karimi, Mandira Bedi, Mansi Scott, Maria Goretti, Shriya Saran, Soni Razdan and RJ Malishka among others attending.
