Hyderabad’s favourite designer Sashi Vangapalli recently showcased her collection “Reverie” at the 70th Cannes Film Festival held from 17th May to 28th May 2017. Hollywood diva Ana Maria Pop walked with the designer on the Red Carpet in her gorgeous long, white gown, which looked magical. Actress Sushmita Sen who has worked with the designer several times, spoke in the recently held press conference to appreciate Sashi’s journey and dedication.
Sashi Vangapalli proudly represented India and her hometown Hyderabad through various motifs and art forms through depiction of various famous monuments. Her designs included the national animal Bengal Tiger, the national bird Peacock and the Taj Mahal. Also inscribed in it were the Charminar and the Birla Mandir. The embellishments came out amazingly on the dress.
At the conference Sushmita Sen ardently spoke about Sashi’s journey from being a IT employee to representing India at Cannes.
Sashi Vangapalli is also launching her new Flagship Store at Hyderabad. This launch date was unveiled at the event.
