Producer Yash Patnaik who runs his successful production house Beyond Dreams believes that content is the King. Yash who have produced successful shows like Rang Badalti Odhani, Junoon, Jamunia, Veera is currently making waves with youth centric shows like Sadda Haq, Twistwala Love and Secret Diaries on channel V.

Talking about this show Yashsays, “Sadda Haq broke many age old rules. It came as a fresh breath of air when youth shows were heavily dependent on only romance. This show came with a purpose. We created a relatable character in Sanyukta and a flawed hero like Randhir. It also worked as we engaged audience in a very realistic play out and drama.”

Yash also adds,”Taste of youth keeps changing in every couple of years. They are exposed to too many mediums. They also evolve with time. We cant experiment with them without understanding them. At Beyond Dreams we have a lot of youngsters working in various departments. Our content team consists of over 10 young writers and another 6-7 young researchers. We get many insights from them. We also carry out research from time to time to stay in touch with the youth. We go beyond just producing content. We stay engaged with the youth of today and youth of tomorrow.”

Talking about the future of his production house Yash tells,” Next couple of years looks big for us. This year we will be getting into comics and animation with some of the best names from the World of comics. Some of our talents have worked with Marvel and DC for decades with some of the biggest properties like Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Witchblade etc. We are also getting ready for the digital content. We are ready with over a dozen original fiction formats. We have a dedicated team working in this space. This team has handpicked people from journalism, radio, sports who are gaming for this. We are ready for the next big revolution in content.”
