The 3rd edition of Celebrity Clasico concluded on a high note with power-packed performance from creme de la creme of the Indian entertainment industry and Indian sportsmen battling it out on the field for a noble initiative. All Heart football club walked away with a trophy of the star-studded football match held at the Andheri sports complex on the evening of 15th October. The man of the match was MS Dhoni scoring two goals for the winning team.
The night turned a starry affair with an electrifying performance from the All Heart club led by Virat Kohli and All Star club spearheaded by Abhishek Bachchan. The celebrities indulged in a competitive round of football. Both the teams were challenging enough and made for a tough competition for each other, however All Heart football club defeated All Star football club by 7-3.
The 2017 edition of the Celebrity Clasico football match is an initiative by Cornerstone Sport and GS Worldwide Entertainment. The funds generated through this match will be utilised for the charitable initiatives of both the Virat Kohli foundation and Playing for Humanity.
The best goalkeeper award went to Marc Robinson of the All Star football club.

Star Sports collaborating with us to broadcast live and promote the event is testimony to this. We are already working towards making this bigger and better every year and all for a good cause.”
Bunty Walia, CMD, GS Entertainment said, “There can’t be a better sporting event where the crème of the Indian film industry takes on members of the Indian cricket team in a one of game played every year to try and raise funds for various charities that they are associated with. One of the causes taken up by us this time is Women Empowerment and Women Self Defence Centre, an initiative.”
The audience was ecstatic, roaring applause for their favourite stars competing on the ground. The match was a charged up event keeping high momentum with celebrities performing at the exceptional best.
Actor Akshay Kumar was present at the stadium to watch the exciting match.
Punjabi singer, Guru Randhawa entertained the spectators with his live performance.
After an action packed match, Actor Sidharth Malhotra who played from the All Star team stated, “We’re going to practise much more but the boys played really well. On the funnier side, I think the Indian cricket team also got really lucky, a lot of deflections and a lot of mistakes on our part. I’m absolutely going to come back next year. This was my first time and I need to spend more time playing the sport. I’m looking forward to practising much more and playing another match next year!”
Television star, Shabbir Ahluwulia too quipped, “I really love football. We were all here for a cause and it was a great match”.
Kartika Aaryan, “I loved playing the game and we thoroughly enjoyed the match. I think we put up a good fight but we were unlucky with some goals. The other team got two penalties and I think it was hard luck for us, they played really well. We were expecting a good game from the guys, they are really talented. Virat played really well, Dhoni too played really well, it was a tough fight for all of us. I’m happy to be a part of the team and the event as it was for a good cause.”
