Mumbai: After playing a humorous character in Zoya Akhtar’s highly appreciated and critically acclaimed movie Luck By Chance, actor-producer Sanjay Kapoor essays a Sindhi business tycoon Harry Fundwani in his latest release, Shaandaar directed by Vikas Bahl.

Sanjay, who has been appreciated by his B-town friends for his performance of a humorous and colourful character in Shaandaar says one of the main reasons for him to do the film was Vikas Bahl.

“I vividly remember it was the wrap-up day of Tevar when I got a call from Vikas asking me if I could play a role in Shaandaar. It’s great to work with Vikas because of his knowledge of cinema.”

Sanjay, who was slightly reluctant to play a colourful character for the first time in his two-decade long career, says, “I wasn’t sure about it since I’ve never played such a humorous and colourful character in my career before. But I’m glad it paid off and people have appreciated my performance.”
