Mumbai: Popular Script-writer, Jyoti Kapoor has finally won the copyright violation case against Bollywood director-producer Kunal Kohli and as per the court; it has been informed that there were similarities between the storyline of Kohli’s under-production film Phir Se starring Jennifer Winget and Jyoti Kapoor’s script titled RSVP.

In relation to this court has asked Kunal Kohli to pay an amount of Rs. 25 Lakh to Jyoti Kapoor and give her credit for story idea.

Kunal Kohli tweeted, “The judges asked us to go for a settlement and I agreed, as I don’t believe in fighting with members of my fraternity. Judges felt that creative people should settle to promote creativity and culture. Case is finally over. Release date to be announced soon.”

Apart from this if we move to the past then after being ordered to not continue with the shooting of his movie ‘Phir se’ due to reports plagiarism by IMPPA, he continued with is shoot. That helped him now with the case due to having a ready product.

Will IMPPA take any action on Kunal Kohli for defying orders or they just gonna shut an eye and an ear? What happened was unethical and unprofessional yet we see IMPPA being silent. They should do the evitable and impose some kind of punishment to Kunal Kohli and his production house.

How are other producers and production houses going to take IMPPA seriously in the future if they let this one go by?
