Mumbai: The team of Tanu Weds Manu is back with “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” , directed by Aanand L Rai ,starring R. Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut among others.
The trailer that was launched 3 days ago has fast become the most loved on the social media platform, proof being that the trailer had been trending on Facebook as well as video-sharing site YouTube since its launch. After Badlapur and NH10, Eros scores a hat-trick with Tanu Weds Manu Returns also trending at number 1 on YouTube.
If that wasn’t all, the trailer has garnered a net result of over 3 million views after it was launched exclusively on Eros Now for a day and then released on other social and video networks.
What makes this an even bigger achievement for the team is the fact that the film’s Facebook page has received a huge thumbs up from fans and bloggers alike. The page Facebook.com/TWMReturns tracks Tanu’s and Manu’s marital journey over the last 4 years via a series of posts from the characters sharing their moments and feelings to a point where the marriage has gone sour, which is the starting point of the sequel. Another series of blogposts called Happily Ever After? has a humorous take on what happens to film couples after they get married. These posts have been extremely well received and shared by fans.
Directed by Aanand L Rai of Tanu Weds Manu and Raanjhanaa fame, the sequel of the 2011 blockbuster, will see Kangana reprising her role as Tanu and also essaying the role of Datto – a Haryanvi athlete .
Eros International & Colour Yellow Productions’ Tanu Weds Manu Returns , is scheduled to hit release May 22nd2015.
