Mumbai: Popular movie producer D Ramanaidu, who has received many awards for his work, has passed away and in relation to this Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao has expressed condolences.
Apart from other awards Producer D Ramanaidu also received the important Dadasaheb Phalke award.
On this occasion Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao said, “Sri Ramanaidu was one of the finest film producers whose contribution to Indian cinema was vast, varied and outstanding. Ramanaidu gave some of the most popular films both in Hindi and in Telugu. Ramanaidu was a gem of a person, soft-spoken and gentle to the core. I had the good fortune of knowing him for several years. Sri Ramanaidu had served as a Member of Parliament when I was a Minister at the Centre. In his demise, the nation has lost a successful film producer and a great human being. I have lost a good friend.”
