The Delhi political and media circles were not far behind with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and National Executive of Aam Aadmi Party, Kumar Vishwas praising the film and senior media personalities like Shekhar Gupta, Barkha Dutt and Ravish Kumar writing about it.

Masaan received glowing reviews by all the prominent personalities from the film industry and political world.

Apart from targeting the metro cities, the makers of Masaan came up with a novel approach to reach out to the wider audience by promoting the film and showcasing it in the tier one and two cities as well.

Prior to its release, Masaan was screened in Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkata where the prominent directors of the respective cities hosted the film screening. Abhishek Jain (Director of the Gujarati super hit film Bey Yaar) hosted in Ahmedabad, Pawan Kumar (Director of the Kannada super hit Lucia) in Bangalore and Venkatesh Films in Kolkata. Anurag Kashyap hosted the premiere screening in his hometown Benaras where the film is shot.

Masaan is the film, which has really made India proud internationally and won hearts of Indian audiences as well.

Manish Mundra, Drishyam Films says “Masaan is the film which has been very close to my heart. The film would be loved by many that I had anticipated, but being loved and adored by all across the society is really overwhelming and that gives us enough fuel to back more such content driven films.”

Says Vikramaditya Motwane, Phantom Films, “ We are extremely happy with all the great response of the Indian audience and the media alike…far more than what we felt after the wins at Cannes. The response from across the nation-wide audience and the media support to the film, is really overwhelming and we are just so thankful.”
