Only a few days have passed since ‘Shakuntala Devi’ got released and Vidya Balan is already gearing up for her next film. Months ago, the actress had announced that she has signed up a new project, a film titled Sherni and is very excited to start shooting for it. It will be directed by Amit Masurkar, who was critically praised for his film ‘Newton’. The film will be centred around Tigress Avni who got killed in November 2018 and lead to many controversies.

It is alleged that the shooting of the film had also begun from 4 March 2020, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it had to be postponed. However, as per the most recent update, the shooting procedure is all set to begin from the month of October in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Owing to the current times, the team of the film will ensure strict safety guidelines are being followed. When asked about returning to work Vidya mentioned that she has been at her home since March and is rather excited and not scared to begin work. She believes that fear can’t help a lot and most the people can do is look ahead while ensuring maximum safety.
