Superstar Varun Dhawan made an unexpected announcement for his fans that sent them into a frenzy. He released the teaser for a new project known as ‘Bhediya’ that will have Kriti Sanon as the female lead. Bhediya will belong to the supernatural-horror genre and feature Varun as a werewolf, a mythical creature that looks human with the ability to shapeshift into a wolf.
Varun shared the teaser on his Twitter handle while saying, “#Bhediya ka pranaam #Stree ji aur #Roohi ji ko
In cinemas 14th April 2022” The snippet was completely animated and featured a man howling on a cliff as he suddenly transforms into a wolf. Amar Kaushik is directing the film.

Bhediya is being produced by Maddock Films, the production house that has also bankrolled other horror features like ‘Stree’ and the upcoming ‘Roohi’. Needless to say, the audience is extremely happy and intrigued about the expansion of this ‘horror universe’, within the Bollywood industry. The film will also mark the second collaboration between Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon after ‘Dilwale’.
