‘Shamshera’ featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt will recommence shooting in August

It is alleged that the film will centre around a dacoit gang which rose to prominence in the 1800s.

One of the most anticipated upcoming films of Ranbir Kapoor titled ‘Shamshera’, will resume shooting from mid-August, as per some recent updates. Earlier,, the film was all set to resume shooting at the beginning of August, however, the recent rise in coronavirus cases led to the shooting getting postponed till mid-August.

‘Shamshera’ is being directed by Karan Malhotra. He has earlier directed films like ‘Brothers’ and 2012’s ‘Agneepath’. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, the star cast of the film will also feature Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.

It is alleged that the film will centre around a dacoit gang which rose to prominence in the 1800s. While Ranveer who will essay the role of the protagonist and the dacoit leader, Sanjay Dutt will be portraying the role of the villain in the film while Vaani will be seen as a dancer.

The film is being produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films. It was scheduled to release on 31 July 2020 but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, shooting was put on a standstill. No official release date for the movie as been announced as of yet.
