The trailer for Naseeruddin Shah’s upcoming film ‘Mee Raqsam’ will definitely touch you. It has been directed by Baba Azmi while Shabana Azmi is its producer. The film is a tribute to their father Kaifi Azmi, who is a celebrated Urdu poet. He was responsible for introducing Indian motion pictures with Urdu literature.
The story is based in a small village called Mijwan where a little girl aspires to become a Bharatnatyam dancer. Her father fully supports her dreams and is willing to fight anyone who questions her or her dance. The film explains how there can be no caste or religion to culture and it can never be confined to any boundary.

Apart from Naseeruddin Shah, the film will feature Aditi Subedi, Danish Husain, Shradha Kaul, Rakesh Chaturvedi Om and so on. ‘Mee Raqsam’ has been written by Husain and Safdar Mir while the choreography is by Mohsin Khan Pathan.
