Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli to share screens in the new film ‘Pippa’

Renowned writer, director and producer Raja Krishna Menon (known for Airlift, Chef) has announced a new film titled ‘Pippa’. It is going to take inspiration from the life of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, who fought on the eastern front in the Indo-Pak war from 1971. The film will also be based on the book ‘The Burning Chaffees ‘ written by Mehta. It was recently revealed that actors like Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli will be seen as the leads in the film.

Ishaan officially announced his involvement with the project via an Instagram post that also revealed that it will be produced by RSVP films under Ronnie Screwvala. He mentioned on his post, “We’re coming with all guns blazing.

Lately, Ishaan has been garnering a lot of praise for her performance in Mira Nair’s series adaptation of Vikram Seth’s ‘Suitable Boy’ available on Netflix. Meanwhile, Priyanshu also won many hearts through his role as Robin in the second instalment of popular web series ‘Mirzapur’. Mrunal was last seen on the silver screens during 2019 in films like Super 30 and Batla House.
