All-rounder talent from the Bollywood industry Farhan Akhtar has finally announced the release of his sports drama Toofan. It stars him in the lead role as a national level boxer. Through his Twitter, the star revealed that the film will be hitting the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video after a long wait.
On his Twitter, he shared exclusive posters for Toofan and tweeted, “Toofaan Uthega! Catch the teaser on 12th March at @PrimeVideoIN”. Another post said, “Toofaan hoon chhotey tera mausam bigaad doonga.

Toofan has been directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra (Rang De Basanti, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag) and will also star Paresh Rawal and Mrunal Thakur in key roles. It was scheduled to release on 2 October 2020 earlier but had to be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
Toofan is now headed for a worldwide release on 21 May 2021 on Amazon Prime Video.
