There had been a lot of buzz around the sequel for the popular family hit ‘Apne’ a lot lately. The wait is over now as the legendary star Dharmendra has finally confirmed that the film is actually being made! Through the latest post on Instagram, he revealed some details about the sequel.
Alongside his post, he expressed, “Mere apnon! jab tak malik ka mehr-o-karam ? bana rahega tab tak hum sath sath chalte rahenge…. All three generations of Deol’s are coming back with.#Apne2, in cinemas on Diwali 2021?

The post was like a tiny teaser which revealed the logo for the film and that it is being directed by Anil Sharma and Produced by Deepak Mukut under Socha Rockstar Entertainment. Another thing that stood out was that all three generations of Deol will be seen in the film i.e. newcomer Karan Deol will be sharing screens with his dad, uncle and his grandfather.
The original film ‘Apne’ released in 2007 and was a story of a disgraced former boxer (Dharmendra) who is committed to training his son Angad (Sunny Deol) to remove the stain upon his honour.
‘Apne 2’ will be hitting the theatres around Diwali 2021.
