Mumbai: Having made his big Bollywood debut in the blockbuster Mary Kom (2014) , Darshan Kumaar who essayed the role of Priyanka Chopra’s husband in the film , now turns grey for Eros International, Phantom Films & Clean Slate Films’ NH10.
The actor who will be seen playing a baddie in the , gripping ,edge-of-the-seat thriller ,went all out to get under the skin of his dark and sinister character and avoided indulging in interactions with co-stars Anushka Sharma and Neil Bhoopalam ,while shooting the film.
Explaining this acting exercise says Darshan, “I do theatre with Naseeruddin Shah, and he taught me the importance of staying in character all the time. My equation with Anushka in the film is very awkward. She is a bubbly and energetic girl, so it’s easy to get comfortable with her, which would have affected my performance on screen. So, throughout our 60-day schedule, I used to sit at least a kilometre away from her. The irony is that she is so beautiful that I wanted to go and speak to her, but I couldn’t. I chatted with her only on the last day of the shoot.”
