Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn shared a major update about the next film he will be starring in known as Maidaan. As the COVID-19 spread lead to a lockdown, many projects had to be postponed, Maidaan being one of them. Things are looking up now as many films and shows have begun to shoot again.
Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan is going to be a biographical sports drama and he shared the release date of the film on his Twitter handle along with the poster for the film. The Tweet said, “‘Maidaan’ now releases worldwide in theatres on Dussehra 2021. Shoot commences January 2021.” The film will now have a festive release now due to Dussehra.

The upcoming film has been inspired by a true story. Ajay Devgn will feature in this period drama as a football coach by the name of Syed Abdul Rahim, known as the ‘architect of modern Indian football’. The film was meant to release during August 2020 but had to be postponed. It will also be a multilingual feature, which will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam apart from Hindi.
