After winning hearts across the nation, `The Voice’ Season 2 winner Farhan Sabir is all set to release his debut single “Allah Hu” on Universal Music.

The single will be released on the auspicious occasion of Eid to spread the message of ‘Hope and Belief’.

“Allah Hu” is an unconventional Sufi Qawali with a distinct tune and lyric. The song is about keeping hope alive and believing that with God’s blessings, hard work and the wishes of your loved ones, nothing is unachievable. The song is composed by popular playback singer Shaan, who, besides being on the jury of the show has also mentored Farhan right through his journey to winning it.

The 20-year-old talented singer from New Delhi has been trained in Indian classical music since an early age and considers Ustad Rashid Khan and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan as his biggest inspirations. Farhan has also learnt how to play the tabla and is currently training in Western music.

Speaking about the track, Shaan expressed “Farhan is an amazing talent and eventually won the hearts of all the coaches on the show with his incredible and consistent singing. I truly believe that at 20 years, the perfect pitching, range and gayaki that Farhan essays through his voice can only be achieved through hours and hours of dedicated practice and an inborn gift. I am proud to be his coach and mentor and I am inspired by his talent and his simplicity.”

Speaking on the occasion, R H Chhatrapati, Vice President, Universal Music / EMI – South Asia, said, “I was impressed to see Farhan’s journey throughout the show, he has an exceptional voice & we’re looking forward to release his debut single ‘Allah Hu’ which is composed by Shaan. I’m sure this will be the start of a promising career ahead.”

Sharing his excitement on the release, singer Farhan stated, “This is an incredibly important song for me. Working with my mentor Shaan has been truly special and I can’t thank him enough for all that I’ve learnt from him. I would also like to thank Universal Music for the support & for releasing my debut single.”

“Allah Hu” will be available across all digital platforms on 1st September exclusively on Universal Music India.
