Mumbai: Popular singer Kailash Kher began his career by contributing his vocals to jingles. Even now, jingles are a regular part of his work, besides movie songs and albums. But now, Kher has taken charge of spreading awareness about Torex Cough Syrup with the tagline ‘Gaao Miya Malhaar, Ya Bheem Palasi, Torex Cough Syrup hai to Alvida khasi’.
Kailash Kher has featured in various movies as a guest appearance but his featuring in this ad is also noteworthy because prior to him, late ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh starred in an ad for the same brand.
Talking about this ad, Kailash Kher said, ‘Yes, before me, everyone’s favorite ghazal singer Jagjit Singh ji was a part of this ad. When I got the offer to work in this ad, the first thought that came to my mind was that of Jagjit ji and I gave a nod instantly. Even though I can never replace him, I’m glad that after him, I got the chance to be a part of this ad.’
