Mumbai: There was great hype for Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan entering Bigg Boss 9 before the show rolled. But it fizzled out with time.

Now Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar, who has handled Shilpa Shetty for Big Brother and as many as 20 contestants for Bigg Boss, feels that MSG (who he addresses as “Guruji”) could make a good choice for India’s No 1 reality show.

Can BB fulfill MSG’s youth dreams?
“Though he may be a misfit in the House, he can make a great Bhai Bhai pair with Arvind Vegda,” quips the PR specialist.

“MSG has wanted to cater to the youth and spread his gyan through the length and breadth of the country. The reality show can offer MSG that platform, though it may make a warped platform, as he may come across as preachy on a show all about scandal,” Dale adds.

Will Salman support MSG?
“MSG is a superstar in his own right and Salman Khan could help prop that image further for him with Bigg Boss. Though he may also risk his godman aura on a national scale, and could require more crisis management in the media in the years to come.”

“But even if Guruji makes a special appearance on Bigg Boss for a few days, he could attract great eyeballs for himself,” analyses the public relations expert, who is also known to be the undisputed master at spin.

Best for the best?
Dale has earlier handled the media for some of the best and biggest stars in Bollywood like Hrithik Roshan, Shilpa Shetty, Priyanka Chopra, Randeep Hooda, Shiney Ahuja, Govinda, Vivek Oberoi, films like Shah Rukh Khan’s Don and Farhan Akhtar’s Rock On, and crisis management for the controversial Swami Nithyananda.

He has even acted in support of yoga guru Swami Ramdev and godwoman Radhe Maa in the recent past.

When we quizzed him if he would like to take care of media-related crisis situations in the life of the Dera chief, Dale said, he is keen, but is yet to receive a positive response from the godman’s patrons.

Success from ruckus?
It can be noted here that though the Dera godman’s film MSG 2 – The Messenger was learnt to have failed to generate the same amount of enthusiasm as the first part, the Baba did have a so-called 100-crore success party, and made enough noise for a past ban on him being lifted by a Sikh organization.

After MSG 2’s release was blocked in certain states like Punjab and Haryana, his legion of Dera Sacha Sauda protesting followers were said to have created a ruckus in Gurgaon, Noida, Delhi, Punjab etc.

Police were reported to have said that the Sirsa-headquartered sect followers blocked rail and road traffic from Moga to Kotakpura, to Ludhiana, Ferozepur, Amritsar and Jalandhar, which remained suspended, putting a number of passengers to inconvenience.

Apparently, all this had compelled the administration and exhibitors into agreeing to the film’s release all over.
