Mumbai: It was Anurag Kashyap’s critically acclaimed Ugly that proved to be the game changer for Rahul Bhat, as the movie’s success has certainly opened a whole lot of avenues for the talented actor. Rahul will be seen in interesting projects like Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor opposite Katrina Kaif and Sudhir Mishra’s Aur Devdas lined up for release this year. With such interesting projects in his kitty, Rahul is certainly on cloud nine and feels that his time has finally arrived.
“My time has come! I feel its great time for actors like me to be in the industry,” says Rahul, adding, “I have worked with Anurag Kashyap and just wrapped up Fitoor. Then there’s Sudhir Mishra’s Aur Devdas where I will be playing the title role.”
Considering Rahul’s forthcoming projects, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the actor is ready to take on some big names in the industry. “I’m going to take the Kapoors and the Khans on (laughs)… I am going to change the ‘family business’ scenario that exists in the industry right now,” he feels.
