Mumbai :The day witnessed a grand launch of the film “Baa Baa Black Sheep” along with its first Song recording under the music baton ship of Shaan’s band superbia comprising of Shaan, Gourov Das Gupta and Roshan Balu, the day also marked the launch of SUPERBIA, and Shaan composing and singing under SUPERBIA.
Present at the launch were – Vishwaas Paandya with his wife Prachi Shah Paandya, Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Manish Paul, Shaan, Gourov Das Gupta and Roshan Balu.
The film launch commenced capturing the essence of Indian rituals by seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha as a prosperous start for the film. Soon after the ambience converted into one melodious afternoon where everyone seemed engrossed in the peppy music of the film. The music has all the elements to garner all the praises is helmed by renowned singer and Music composer Shaan with Gourov Dasgupta and Roshin Balu.
Director of the film, Vishwaas Paandya exclaims “Baa Baa Black Sheep” is an attempt to make an intelligent comedy. I have casted keeping the subject in mind, they justify the character in the film; I believe I am lucky to have the stalwarts of together , Anupam Ji and Annu Ji are the most versatile actors of the Indian Film Industry. Manish Paul with his charm, wit and energy has done exceptionally well. Therefore I can say I have the perfect cast for the film”.
Renowned singer Shaan, who have composed the song “It’s our launch too exclaimed shaan ,”This is the first time we SUPERBIA are composing a song for a film. Usually it’s the song which is composed first and then the situation; in this film we have composed the song on the situation. It’s an honor to compose for Anupam ji and Annu ji. Manish is a very dear friend so composing for him was a delight”.
The film to be directed by Vishwaas Paandya is written by Sunjiv Puri & Vishwaas Paandya.Cast: Manish Paul is an established Television Anchor with ‘Mickey Virus’ to his credit and is soon to be seen in ‘Tere Bin Laaden 2’ and the ‘Katha’ remake. Anupam Kher though has done over 400 films as an actor, will be seen in a completely new role and is ably matched in the movie in an equally crazy role by Annu Kapoor, who with a career spanning over 30 years across films television and radio, needs no introduction. The lead female actor Angelina is new and deliberately kept under wraps.
Writer/Director: Vishwaas Paandya : Born into a noted film family that has produced the likes of ‘Namak Haram’, ‘Rang Birangi’ to name a few. He started off his career as an actor having done over 40 TV Commercials for Leading Brands like Bajaj, Dabur, Coca Cola, Godrej, Unilever, etc., and 5 TV shows on various channels, besides 2 films. His Writing & Directorial experience began with some episodes on TV and then multiple TVC campaigns. He was also a part of the Directorial team on ‘American Blend’ and directed the making of ‘Maine Gandhi Ko Nahiin Maara’. Vishwaas has over a decade’s worth of experience in film, television and advertising and has, in the past, worked with major bollywood players. He has worked and lived in both India, and the United States
Music: The Music of BBBS is being given by SUPERBIA, which consists of the talented singer Shaan with Gourov Dasgupta & Roshin Balu. They have composed music for various TVC’s and have just come out with their first album titled ‘Satrangi’ for Sa re Ga Ma.
