Team of ‘Simran’ hosted special screening of their film on Thursday in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities like Kangana Ranaut, Hansal Mehta, Anupam Kher, Rajkummar Rao, Patralekha, Pooja Hegde, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sharad Kelkar, Sohum Shah, Anu Ranjan, Shashi Ranjan, Aamir Ali Khan and Sanjeeda Shaikh attended special screening of the film.
Simran is a racy, fun film with Kangana Ranaut playing the titular role. It revolves around a Gujarati housekeeping lady in the US allows ambition to get the better of her & gets involved in a world of crime.
It is directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Bhushan Kumar.
It stars Kangana Ranaut, Sohum Shah, Catherine Dyer, Mark Justice, Manju Narayan, Rupinder Nagra and Esha Tiwari Pandey in key roles. It’s the first time Kangana is collaborating with Hansal Mehta who has directed some critically acclaimed films Shahid, CityLights and Aligargh.
Kangana Ranaut recently made headlines again for opening up about her relationship with Hrithik Roshan and her fight with Karan Johar on his show ‘Koffee With Karan’on the Rajat Sharma show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’. Many people also calling it as a publicity stunt by Kangana to promote her film.
There’s no denying the fact that Kangana Ranaut is a self-made superstar. She sits pretty on the Bollywood throne after delivering successful films like ‘Tanu Weds Manu 2’ ‘Queen’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ but after failure of her last release ‘Rangoon’, Kangana’s critics got opportunity to criticize her, so now lot more will depend on the box-office result of Simran.
