Mumbai: Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do (DDD) is definitely the talk of the town at the moment! One actor who’s basking in the glory in this multi-starrer is Vikrant Massey, who plays Rana in the film.
Though the role wasn’t a long one, it created an impact and Vikrant stood out for his screen presence and acting capabilities.
After Lootera and DDD, the actor is all set to appear in Konkona Sen Sharma’s directorial debut as the male lead.
Talking about the same, Vikrant said, “I was shooting with Konkona for Prakash Jha’s movie Lipstick Wale Sapne, when she approached me to be a part of her film. I feel lucky to have managed to work with such creative people so early in my career. We have started working on it and I am really looking forward to it.”
When asked about the response for DDD, the actor quipped, “Working with Zoya was a fabulous experience. Like the dialogue in the show, ‘sab upar upar se baat karte hai’, Zoya definitely believes in going till the depth of the story and character and bringing out the best in them. The whole team had super fun and the response is also quite positive.”
And finally, we asked him if was satisfied jumping out of a successful TV show to try his fate in movies. “It was difficult, but I think it was worth it. I aspired to achieve this, but never knew that it would come so early. All I can say is that I feel blessed for whatever I have achieved,” shared Vikrant.
