The trailer for Halitha Shameem’s new film Aelay is finally out. It will star Samuthirakani in the lead role. The film will be of the coming of age genre and its trailer got officially launched by superstar Vijay Sethupathi on his social media handle.
Samuthirakani will be playing the role of a commoner in the film, who is an ice cream vendor. Noted actor cum writer Manikandan will also feature alongside him as his son. While sharing the trailer actor Vijay Sethupathi mentioned, “Dir @halithashameem #Aelay #ஏலே Trailer is so heartwarming.”

The movie will encompass the journey of Samuthirakani’s life from his adulthood to death. It will depict what happened in his life in 15 years. The trailer was extremely wholesome with many elements like heavy emotions and humour blended well together.
It is headed for a release in theatres on 12 February. It has been written and directed by Halitha Shameem.
