Popular artist Diljit Dosanjh shared a highly motivating video on his Instagram about a 70-year-old woman vendor who sells parathas for a living in Jalandhar, Punjab. In the video, the lady is seen talking a bit about her life. She says, “Most people go to big hotels to consume food worth a thousand bucks, spending at least 500-700 rupees is a common thing. In my shop, Rotis cost less and so do the parathas and dal-sabji.”
She further added, “I don’t have a husband. I have raised my kids by earning through this shop and it’s been years since she began selling food.” When the video maker asks her whether she’s happy, she answered, “What can be done, this is how it is! The work has lessened now. Few people come to eat here.”

While sharing the video, Diljt wrote some insightful things as he said, ” Her shop is near Phagwara Gate. I’m eating her paranthas for sure the next time I visit Jalandhar. All of you should pay her a visit too.”
He concluded by mentioning, “It doesn’t matter how successful, poor or rich someone is, this isn’t something people should be competing over in life. No one knows who ends up winning at life. People rarely know how to smile when they’re stuck in the wrath of life. Respect.”
