In the last few years a number heartthrobs of television have made their entry into the Bollywood industry. The year 2014 was fortunate for the television actors as a number of them made their debut this year. We saw a number of popular celebrities dazzling on the silver screen. The actors lived their Bollywood dreams as a main lead or the second lead in the film. Here is the list of top television actors who made their entry into Bollywood this year.
Siddharth Shukla: The actor is working as ‘Shiv’ in popular TV serial ‘Balika Vadhu’ on colors channel. The actor made his debut in ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ along with Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.
Jay Bhanushali: one of the most popular and chocolaty actor of tv industry, the anchor of ‘Dance India Dance’ Jay Bhanushali made his debut in Bollywood through ‘Hate Story 2’. The film remained into controversy due to its bold scenes. The actor worked opposite Surveen Chawla in the film. Jay has also signed an action drama ‘Desi Kattey’ with Anand Kumar.
Barun Sobit: The famous actor of “Is Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon” Barun Sobit made his debut in Bollywood through ‘Main aur Mr. Right’. The film released on ‘12th Dec 2014’. He worked opposite Shenaz Treasurywala in the film.
Surveen Chawla: Surveen Chawla is a famous name on television as she did a lot of Ekta Kapoor’s serials like ‘Kasautii Zindagi kay’ and ‘Kahin To Hoga’. Surveen made her debut in Bollywood this year through ‘Hate Story 2’ opposite Jay Bhanusali. The actor gave a lot of bold scenes in the movie. Surveen has also worked in many of pujabi movies.
Karan Singh Grover: The hottest actor of TV Karan Sigh Grover also made his debut with the hot and sizzling Bipasha Basu in the horror movie ‘Alone’. The music has already been released and is quite liked among the listeners. Directed by Bhusan Patel the release date of the film is ‘16th jan 2015’. The actor made a huge number of fan following through his show ‘Qubool Hai’ on ZEE TV.
Gurmeet Chaudhary: After proving his mettle on TV the charming actor is making his debut in Bollywood through the movie ‘Khamoshiyan’. The movie is set to release on 30th Jan 2015. The music has been already out and is quite liked among the listeners, Gurmeet is working opposite Ali Fazal and Sapna Pabbi in the film. Gurmeet is a heartthrob of a number of female fans through his different TV serials. He has worked in serials like ‘Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi’, ‘Punar Vivah’ and the most famous ‘Ramayan’. He has also worked in a lot of reality shows like ‘Nach Baliye’, ‘Khatro Ke Khiladi’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’.
Guatam Gulati: The ‘Diya aur Bati’ fame and now popular as the most illustrious contestant of ‘Bigg Boss 8’ also made a short film this year ‘Darpok’. He too walked the Cannes Film Festival this Year. If the rumors are to be believed the actor may work in the role of cricketer Zaheer Khan in the upcoming movie ‘M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story’. This will be the actors first Bollywood film with the A-List actors.
Kapil Sharma: The comedy king of the TV industry has also signed a number of Bollywood films this year like ‘Kis Kisko Pyar Karu’ and YRF’s ‘Bank Chor. The films will release in the year 2015. The official date of release has not been announced yet.
